TDI Sankyo (TDI三共事業部)
SANKYO — Kappabashi, Tokyo
English support and tax-free are shown only where we've confirmed them. Many Kappabashi shops do offer tax-free — ask at the register (passport required).
A shop for one thing only: the wrapping that wagashi, the traditional Japanese sweets, go home in. Confectionery bags, wooden boxes, kakegami papers laid over a lid, drawstring pouches, liner papers, labels, clear bags, rubber cords, and the small Lumia cups a single sweet sits in.
The business carries on that of Sankyo Shoten, founded before the war, and the shop’s own site describes its Showa-era designs as nostalgic and yet anything but cheap-looking. There is an English version of the site. Hours are 9:30–17:00, and it closes at weekends and on public holidays.
