TOUSHOU — Kappabashi, Tokyo
English support and tax-free are shown only where we've confirmed them. Many Kappabashi shops do offer tax-free — ask at the register (passport required).
Tousyougama, a company founded in 1966 as a maker and wholesaler of tableware for the trade, opened this Kappabashi main shop in 2006. It sells plates, bowls, cups, and vessels for sake and for tea. Its own range is planned and overseen by a former chef and shaped by what cooks and restaurant owners asked for, so you can choose a piece by thinking first about what will go on it.
It stays open until 19:00, later than most of the street, and the only days it closes are the Year-end and New Year holidays.
